PRESIDENT RUTO SHOULD MEAN WHAT HE SAYS AND SAY WHAT HE MEANS. THE BUCK STOPS WITH HIM.

President William Ruto yesterday while attending the burial of Dagorreti legislator Hon Kiarie John's father Waweru Ng'ethe burial in Kandara Constituency. He was affirming himself that under his watch as the president of Kenya and head of government and state , no coin from taxpayers monies will be looted even by his closest friends. Majority of Kenyans who saw and heard him tough talking pour extremely cold water on those sentiments. They have declared them hot air and part of the many litany promises he always makes right, left and centre. It is as if Kenyans have lost trust and confidence in him. Even when he utters serious sentiments that he truly means and have formed a regular ryhme scheme between his mind , heart and conscience, Kenyans are extremely skeptical to trust him.  As he was saying so , there is an active scandal on sugar which was flagged down by Kenya Bureau of Standards because it contained harmful minerals such as mercury and cobalt which are very harmful to human body. It is said the warehouses where the more than 20000 , 50 kg bags were stored waiting for them to be converted into industrial ethanol went missing mysteriously. The question is , who allowed this illegal and poisonous sugar into the markets where I believe chances are very high me and you have consumed it?

At Kemsa, the president cracked the whip and sent home those officials who were responsible of hatching  a plot to defraud the Global Fund almost 3.9 Billion shilling in the procurement of mosquito nets. Imagine!!! We have no iota of mercy and shame if we were planning to loot from a fund which is contributed by almost of nations in the World. This this a scandal which was nipped in the bud but even though it wasn't executed , it has left an egg on the face of the Kenya Kwanza goverment. Will the donor community and the inter govermental organisations trust this regime on anything dealing with them sending the monies inorder the government agencies to procure the said goods and services? Absolutely no. So , President Ruto knows he has an image to protect. He has an obligation to instill trust in the many investors he is going around the globe oowing to come and invest in Kenya. We know those investors who like investing in corrupt states and there are those investors who lose their appetite in investing in a Country where corruption is the order of the day. A country according to Transpercy International corruption index , it occupies the top 5.  The buck stops with the President because as things stands , he has a herculean task. For once , he may be meaning what he is saying but unfortunately, he is surrounded by a cabal of marauding corrupt, kleptomaniac and megalomaniac homosapiens whose unbridled avarice to loot and dip their hands in the cookie jars is astronomical and monumental. They are in those offices especially the cabinet portfolios to cut deals and expand their economic empires.

On this Kemsa scandal, national dailies were all over pointing fingers to a certain senior goverment officials who was at the centre of the plan to defraud the Global Fund. It is said after there was a conflict on who will loot what and how much , they ended up exposing their ugly bellies and claws only for them to expose one another and that intelligence reached the global fund management here in Nairobi and they raised the alarm with the government and the whole tender was cancelled to its entirety. As we speak, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are at the root of investigating the circumstances under which the poisonous sugar mysteriously vanished from the Vine Pack limited warehouses. Preliminary investigations point out that a Cabinet Secretary and two elected legislators are at the centre of it. This is where President Ruto tough talking on dealing with corrupt goverment officials who are implicated in corrupt deals will be tested. I believe DCI and the National Intelligence Service are aware of what happened. But again we can ask, was the NIS aware of what was happening in Shakahola? If No , they I believe even in the disappearing of this poisonous sugar they weren't aware. And if they weren't aware, why is it not disbanded? From where I am seated, President Ruto is aware of all those officials especially in his cabinet and elected MPs in his coalition who are at the centre of this scandal. I verily, verily tell you Kenyans, we are just living at the mercies of the Elohim. We have been consuming contraband products yet we have KEBS with us. But when a Goverment is having dealers instead leaders , what do you expect?

On this sugar scandal, if heads won't roll , if we won't see people getting sacked not only in KEBS, KRA, Kenya ports and National Police Service but also in the cabinet. The country wants to know who is this high profile Cabinet Secretary? Who are this elected Members of the National Assembly allied to United Democratic Party? We don't only wants to see bureaucrats and technocrats being fired yet they were holding brief and acting on orders of political elites who are their bosses. The same energy which was used in Kemsa is the same energy we want it to be used in this sugar scandal. We all saw how CS Health Susan Nakhumichia came out guns blazing to defend herself and to dissociate herself on this Kemsa net procurement scandal. Of you were closely watching and analyzing her press statements , she was addressing certain high profile senior goverment officials who she truly knows were behind the plot to defraud the Global Fund.

It is good President Ruto yesterday tied a guillotine on his neck. He unequivocally and categorically said he will take personal she political responsibilities if his Goverment won't be in a position to protect the taxpayers monies and even use them for meaningful purposes and prudently. Do far , his economic advisor Dr David Ndii confirmed at a leading national television that , this government have extreme wastage and nothing can be done for now. Infact, Dr David Ndii wasn't only telling kenyans but also the World. No one in th kenya Kwanza goverment retracted what Ndii uttered at Citizen TV. None at all. So , his statements were certified and reflected the true picturesque of what is happening in the government. The question is , how should or would Kenyans be made to pay a mammoth taxes and their monies ends up being wasted?  The President should understand fully that Kenyans are following this sugar scandal very closely. The media too is doing the same and they will put him to task if the investigations are over and senior members of this goverment are implicated. Which action will he take? Will he sack them as he pledged yesterday? Or what did he meant by using the fimbo? Time will tell. Time too will vindicate or exonerate him. It is that simple.
