DCI HOMICIDE SLEUTHS SHOULD NOT LEAVE ANY STONE UNTURNED.
I have critically analyzed the just concluded press conference by one DJ Fatxo who is the main person of interest in the gruesome murder of one Jeff Mwathi. This two , Mwathi and DJ Fatxo were in a business deal. A deal where he wanted to contract Jeff to do interior decoration in his shop and he was truly convinced the young man will perfectly do that job. The two were buddies but what is interesting is that DJ Fatxo had lied to the world and Kenyans in general that , he only met with Jeff this year when they were discussing this business deal. Lies!!! And because internet doesn't forget and netizens don't disappoint, a photo of him , Jeff and another person resurfaced. The metadata in the photo showed it was taken back in the year 2021. So , from the word go , DJ Fatxo has been lying all through. The culmination of the pathological lies holed in this cranium was today in his presser. A presser of someone who was tensed , fidgeting and anxious. There was no coherence and clarity of thought in his speech. His body language has betrayed him and the vivid description of what transpired has cordoned his and certified him as the main suspect in this murder case.
From the word go , there was an attempted cover up in this case. The question every sober Kenyan is asking themselves is , why did Kasarani police station officers and DCI office there concluded immediately that Jeff Mwathi's death was as a result of suicide? Did they shared the autopsy with Kenyans through the media? No!!! Then , why conclude it is suicide? Social Media influencer Simon Mūthiora is the one who unearthed exactly what happened inside DJ Fatxo house. He vividly took us bit by bit and his version and what was captured in the CCTV cameras was in tandem. It is from there that Kenyan netizens took over the matter with hashtag #justiceforjeff and tagged all criminal justice institutions and even the interior ministry. CS Interior Prof Kindiki came out to show the government commitment in this investigations. It is a matter that Kenyans are following close to keeping it close to their hearts.
DJ Fatxo, his cousin and the driver are the main suspects. The three ladies too who were in that house too should be roped in this case because they are persons of interest too. The version of Jeff 's body was thrown out of the window from DJ Fatxo room was declared null and void after the DCI homicide sleuths inspected the windows and found it has metal grills where , a human body of an adult cannot fit. So , that theory is thrown out. It is either his body was thrown from the balcony or the roof of that apartment. Kenyans top wonder, why did it took the intervention of CS Interior for directorate of criminal investigations homicide sleuths to swing into action? Can the theory of a well hatchet cover up be ruled out? Absolutely No. It can't be ruled out. Even now, Kenyans are still following closely on the mondus operandi of the investigations the DCI will be conducting. So far , the crime scene had been interfered with to high degree. Yes!!! Only forensic investigations will help to unravel this intricate puzzle of who killed Jeff Mwathi and why?
By employing Dr Edmond Locard's exchange principle which is an important part of forensic investigations, it states , " any criminal leaves behind a trace of evidence when committing a violent crime. It is the investigators duty to find this trace evidence and reconstruct the events of the crime." So , that's why it is very easy for homicide detectives to reconstruct, investigate and analyze conclusively what happened to Jeff Mwathi. That's something they should be in a position to. So far , since the death of Jeff , DJ Fatxo house which is a crime scene wasn't cordoned off. Mistake!!! Why didn't sleuths move with speed to cordon it so that the area isn't tampered with? This is where the deliberate cover up events takes place. Cordoning a scene of crime is very important. It helps sleuths to gather important trace evidence both physical and biological. By physical I mean ( clothing, glass fragments, mobile phones , plates etc ). By biological trace evidence I mean (blood stains, hair , fingerprints , DNA ) which are used for forensic investigations. I don't see as to why the culprits of Jeff Mwathi's gruesome murder will escape when taxpayers monies were used last year by the previous regime to plant a state-of-the-art forensic laboratory at the DCI headquarters. Why was is it put in the first place I'd it can help in handling this kind of gruesome murders with easiness? Locard continues to say, "whenever a crime is committed, a trace evidence no matter small or less , will always be present." So far , the homicide detectives drawn from homicide department have visited the crime of scene for preliminary investigations. So far , starting tomorrow, this investigations should graduate a notch higher without hesitation.
Jeff Mwathi entered DJ Fatxo a very joyful man who was even making video to her mum who is in gulf to break the good news of the job Fatxo had promised to contract him. Mwathi even had asked her mum for sh 200 and when the network disconnected their video call , he resulted to audio recordings. This is the very person the police were telling us he committed murder by throwing himself from 10th floor? How , atleast even lying needs some logics. Not all people out here are senile, ignoramus and daft. In every criminal investigations, we start from the unknown to known. Hypothetical question are drafted inorder to help construct a case and act as a guiding principle of the investigation. That's what Kenyans are waiting and expecting. I hope very soon , the DCI through their all busy Facebook page should keep Kenyans abreast on where the investigations on Jeff Mwathi death have reached. All Kenyans want , friends and family of Jeff is to see justice being delivered hot and not cold. We want closure on this issue just like we had after high Court convicted the murderers of Josphat Mwenda, taxi driver Muiruri and lawyer Willy Kimani. Justice should not only be heard but seen , felt and smelled. Period.
