JEFF MWATHI'S SOUL NEED TO REST AND ONLY JUSTICE WILL ALLOW IT.
At Likia , Nakuru County, the village where the slain Jeff Mwathi was laid to rest and where his umbilical cord was buried with joy and his body buried in grief was a beehive of activities. The who contingent of DCI homicide sleuths and Government pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor have exhumed the body of Jeff as per the court order and forensic investigations and pathological analysis have been conducted under heavy security. Kenyans who have been following this gruesome murder are now optimistic starting from my end that at last , Jeff will get justice. His family led by his mother will have closure. Kenyans too will have closure. Similarly, we are expecting all the police officers and sleuths especially at Kasarani police station to shoulder their responsibilities for trying to bangle the whole process. From the onset, the cover up started on 22nd February the day Jeff Mwathi gruesome murder was unearthed. DJ Fatxo, the main suspect in this case since the murder of this young man happened in his house has been at large even after irate Kenyans have been demanding for his arrest together with his accomplices who are his cousin and his driver who are too main suspects in this gruesome murder.
Netizens in this social media streets led by influencer Simon MÅ«thiora who was the first person to burst the bubble on Jeff Mwathi murder started to push for justice for Jeff. A hashtag was trending in this streets like bush fire something that attracted the attention of Interior CS Prof Kindiki Kithure who ordered DCI boss Amin to move into action. A contingent of homicide sleuths were dispatched to go and comb the house and the apartment where DJ Fatxo who house Jeff is alleged to be killed in. Before that DCI and OCS Kasarani police station had already constructed the case from the comfort of their dreams and concluded that , Jeff committed suicide. The way the vividly described how the "suicide" took place betrayed them after Kenyans poked alot of holes in their statement and exposed them for trying to cover up inorder to protect the suspects. The DCI Kasarani police station too did a shoddy job and immediately after today's forensic investigations and pathological analysis are complete and Kenyans are informed what killed Jeff , if it doesn't rhyme with Kasarani police station earlier report, then , OCPD , OCS and DCI and police officers who handled this matter at its inception must be arrested and charged in a court of law and even before that , Inspector General Japheth Koome should interdict them with immediate effect.
Government pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor is in action. In him Kenyans are at peace. We all know by the end of the day , immediately after the DCI homicide sleuths gives us the cause of Mwathi's death , heads will role. Arrests and prosecution will follow. Justice by the end of the day will not be seen to be done but will be done. For Jeff's mother and relatives, it is not hard but it is the only route for closure. Yes!!! I am trying to understand the pain his mother is going through when he sees the body of his son being exhumed and forensic investigations and pathological analysis taking place at the compound of their home but justice is expensive especially where at first, people responsible of ensuring it is delivered worked so hard to bury it. With the state of the art forensic laboratory which costed taxpayers million shillings should be used to solve our homicide and intricate gruesome murders. National Assembly Committee on National security, Intelligence and foreign affairs led by Belgut MP Nelson Koech should treat Kasarani police station as a crime scene. Police officers there should be investigated. National Police Service internal affairs department should leave no stone unturned in bringing the rogue police officers who were hell bent to ensure justice for Jeff will just evaporate into the thin air like a fart of a stubborn fufu. Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) should also elope itself on this matter. We cannot be having criminals in our Criminal justice system and expect to get reasonable justice and services from them.
In the nutshell , Mwathi's soul will rest in eternal peace. Since he was buried, his soul refused to rest until it gets justice. That's what Kenyans too have been looking for and pushing the relevant investigative authorities led by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to deliver. That is the bottom line and we don't want to see this case dragging for years and then justice to be strangled to death. Monica Kimani who was too killed in a gruesome cold murder will get justice very soon. Brenda too. If Willy Kimani, Josphat Mwenda and Taxi driver Muiruri got justice at last and the slain Kiru boys principal, I believe with no iota of doubt that Jeff Mwathi killers will be brought to justice. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
