US -AFRICA LEADERS SUMMIT WAS ALL ABOUT SETTING STAGE FOR NEW COLD WAR. PERIOD!!!!

The US - Africa leadership summit which took place in Washington DC , USA is over after three days of exchanging ideas , taking orders and hobnobbing between the African heads amongst themselves and their US government counterparts. It is a summit that took place at the height of the New Cold war between US on the one hand and Russia and China on the other hand. It is the new version of the scramble for Africa after the one which happened in 1886 , in Berlin led by Germany chancellor Otto von Bismarck. This is where European powers met and shared out Africa amongst themselves. US wasn't part of it. Today as we speak, the new cold war is gaining traction and it is doing so in the African soil.  The last Africa -US leadership summit took place in 2014 when by the then US President Barrack Obama and the current President Joe Biden as his Vice President. After that summit where almost all the 54 Head of States converged, nothing meaningful came out of it apart from enjoying cuisines and expensive wines. Something that African leaders values so much.  After US government promised to open its door for Africa businesses and investments , it didn't materialize because of the many bottlenecks which were put in place. After this disappointment, many African Presidents decided to shape their foreign policy towards China and others Kremlin.

The rate at which China is stamping its Economic authority and foot steps is worrying Washington in a big way something that made Biden to convene this summit inorder to normalize his relationship with Africa. The only cadre of leaders who didn't attend this summit are the military junta in Mali , Guinea, Chad and Burkina Faso. As for South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa who is facing the biggest test in his political career too didn't attend. How should he risk leave the Country when he is facing serious corruption allegations that may make him end up in jail like his predecessor Jacob Zuma? He decided to forgo the cuisines and champagnes of Washington. The African continent has been getting the short end of the stick in as far as its relationship with US is concerned. The business terms of US to Africa have been those of exploitation. There isn't no symbiotic relationship between us and the West. It is after this kind of relationship that made the late President Mwai Kibaki to shape his foreign policy towards the East. When former President Uhuru Kenyatta took over in 2013 , he followed the footsteps of Kibaki in shaping his foreign policy towards the East though he ensured there is normalized relationship with the West.

State are unitary actors in the international regime. That's why , the main reason why US lured the African Presidents was to advance its national interests. Period!!! It didn't do that because it cares much about this continent. If there is someone who will whisper that to your ears , he/she is absolutely lying to you. What has even made Washington to be shocked and take drastic steps it is taking in as far as shaping the New world order is the entry of Russia in Africa preferably in Mali  and Central African Republic. There are plans also of Kremlin open its shop in Khartoum and Burkina Faso. In Mali, French soldiers who were battling the Islamic jihadists in the Sahel region were expelled and the relationship between Mali and its former colony was strained beyond repair. The Russian private military contractors Wagner group opened the shops there. They are also in Bangui. Just some few months ago , Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was in Addis Ababa. There are plans that early next year , he will set his foot in the Congo Republic. With its carrots , especially fertilizer and grain which Putin is dangling to the African States , it will be very difficult for Washington to keep Putin at bat in as far as maintaining it's hegemony in Africa is concerned. Its foreign direct foreign investments have declined sharply especially from the time former President Donald Trump took over. His narcissistic, misygonistic and chauvinistic attitude towards Africa compounded matters further and Beijing moved faster to seal that void. The trade and investments Beijing has transcated with Africa is huge and Washington will take decades to recover.

It is cognizance to note , during the ongoing US - Africa leaders summit, US secretary of defence Llyod Austin read a riot card to KENYA'S President Ruto on his relationship with Kremlin and Beijing. He warned of the growing popularity of China and Russia in the A

East Africa region. What he didn't tell us is , Kremlin is using Nairobi to set its shop in East Africa bearing Nairobi is the region's business and investment hub. It is good to remember that , after Supreme Court gave a

William Ruto presidential victory a clean bill of health and the date of his swearing in was set , Russia President Vladimir Putin was the first foreign dignitary to send him congratulatory message. Also , on 12th December, during the Jamhuri Day celebrations, Putin send a congratulations message to Nairobi and also vowed to commit himself in partnering with President Ruto in ensuring there is peace and stability in the great lakes region and the entire Horn of Africa. Putin preaching peace, this isn't a joke and but a paradox. This are the things that made Llyod Austin, US Defence secretary to raise the alarm. It is important to note too that Azimio la Umoja and ODM leader Raila Odinga was invited yet he isn't a Head of State. This comes after he promised to hold parallel Jamhuri Day celebrations at jacaranda grounds and spill the beans on how his presidential victory was stolen and who aided it. You need to open your third eye to decipher why Washington invited Raila. You need to. 

Is Nairobi a double agent for both Washington and Kremlin? This is the question that will be provided with answers very soon. In short, whaI am to say is , cold war is being fought in Kenya since Beijing, Washington and now Kremlin want a piece of Kenya. With President Ruto showing symptoms of shaping his foreign policy towards US something he has remained non committal to publicly declared, what he needs to remember is , he cannot be a double agent. Let him comb himself with history of how , Presidents in Africa, Asia, South Africa etc who decided to play double agents in the height of cold war ended up. It is either you are with the West or th East , in politics, you cannot play neutral even Lucifer cannot allow it. When this regime hinted at cutting its bilateral links with Beijing after owing them billions of shillings, the tables so far have been turned Beijing have reclaimed what it was to lose. The SGR and the Naivasha inland depot. This is hilarious and it sounds, the unilateral and arbitrary decisions which were made , after being weighed , they ought to have put this regime in a precarious situation in as far as its relationship with Xi Ping and his politburo is concerned.

Let's all agree that , if Africa continent won't take the current situation to its advantage, it will never get out in the murky ground of poverty and economic disillusionment. The New world order is being shaped not in Ukraine or Afghanistan or in Taiwan but in Africa. Kremlin has its sympathizers, Washington too is reclaiming back and recruiting new sympathizers. China through its belt and road initiative is too recruiting it's sympathizers especially through corrupt deals. China knows too well , African leaders are extremely very corrupt. That's why , it always creates a good environment for them to advance its elongated avarice for resources and power.  If Africa won't take care and stamp its authority, cold war will be fought again in its soil and ends up with nothing.
