  A n election is both a rational and emotive exercise. Yes!!! Intelligence quotient (IQ) doesn't necessarily apply during Elections as it was seen on 9th August. The voter went to the ballot to make very serious democratic decisions. To vote in their preferred leaders who will lead them for the next five years. In that , they will sign a social contract right from the Member of the County Assembly (MCA) to that of the President. In this election especially in Mt Kenya region , the voter went in the ballot with only one mission , to punish President Uhuru Kenyatta. Yes!!   A s I type this , President Uhuru Kenyatta is addressing his Mt Kenya region political bastion. YES!!! He is bidding them farewell for the 10 years they gave him to serve them as well as the rest of Kenyans. Reason is , he wasn't voted by Mt Kenya region residents alone but also other regions but let's be factual. Back in 2013 and 2017 presidential elections , Mt Kenya region residents voted to the last man for Jubilee Party. They rioted in the ballot to install him as the 4th President of Kenya even when the ICC case was pressing him. They defied the international community call not to vote for him because , the West and Europe won't recognize his Goverment. The region didn't hearken such a threat.  For the last 2 weeks , Azimio la Umoja council chair Uhuru Kenyatta has been paying courtesy visits to various regions in Kenya launching development projects. In that wavelength , he has been campaigning for Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga. It is a fast one which he pulled on his Deputy President William Ruto and his entire Kenya Kwanza Alliance brigade. Sometimes back , President Uhuru Kenyatta had opined that he won't outrightly campaign for his preferred candidate Raila Odinga. It is a move that was lauded by Kenya Kwanza ALLIANCE who viewed it as a score on their side. What Ruto feared is that , by President Uhuru Kenyatta actively participating in Azimio la Umoja campaigns in the last few weeks had thrown the Kenya Kwanza Alliance under the bus. I n the history of politics World over , there is no coincidence in politics and if it is there , then , it is engineered to happen. Again , in politics , things don't just happen but they are made to happen. Yesterday , the whole nation was shocked by Sonko's move to ditch Azimio la Umoja and most preferably , Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who in the last one month , he had stood with Sonko through thin and thick. Sonko's political career was strangled to death by the Supreme Court ruling which upheld his impeachment by the Nairobi County MCAs. If he was wise but he wasn't abd his elongated ego and bravado enveloped his mind , he could have resigned from the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat the moment he realized that , the impeachment motion against him won't flop.   S ince the Handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his political nemesis turned friend Raila Odinga in March, 2018 , Deputy President never saw any peace of mind , soul abs heart.   O n 26th Tuesday , Kenyans were glued on their television sets to follow the much awaited presidential debate which Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga gave a wide berth. He cited he cannot share the sane podium with a misygonist , narcissist and a chauvinist who some days ago , threw vitriolic and vituperative epithets towards Kitui County Governor Charity Ngilu and Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa.  Raila Odinga painted Ruto who has perfected the art of lying and playing victim in his usual escapism. Even in crimes that he is highly implicated , he will deny and play victim to hoodwink Kenyans who has his political score card close to their chests. Raila walked the talk and didn't show up.
