I n the history of politics World over , there is no coincidence in politics and if it is there , then , it is engineered to happen. Again , in politics , things don't just happen but they are made to happen. Yesterday , the whole nation was shocked by Sonko's move to ditch Azimio la Umoja and most preferably , Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who in the last one month , he had stood with Sonko through thin and thick. Sonko's political career was strangled to death by the Supreme Court ruling which upheld his impeachment by the Nairobi County MCAs. If he was wise but he wasn't abd his elongated ego and bravado enveloped his mind , he could have resigned from the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat the moment he realized that , the impeachment motion against him won't flop. By doing that , he could have easily entered in the race , either in Nairobi or Mombasa with ease.   O n 26th Tuesday , Kenyans were glued on their television sets to follow the much awaited presidential debate which Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga gave a wide berth. He cited he cannot share the sane podium with a misygonist , narcissist and a chauvinist who some days ago , threw vitriolic and vituperative epithets towards Kitui County Governor Charity Ngilu and Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa.  Raila Odinga painted Ruto who has perfected the art of lying and playing victim in his usual escapism.   A s the presidential campaigns are coming to the homestretch , the Azimio la Umoja brigade led by its captain Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua SC will be snaking in various parts of Mūrang'a County. They will pitch tent in Maragwa Constituency at Kimorori grounds whereby , Martha Karua will be hosted by a delegation of women from Mūrang'a County. I mean that of Roots Party presidential running mate madam Justina Wamae and Agano Party presidential running mate Ruth Mutua. It was a debate was conducted within the confines of maturity , sobriety , respect , decorum and professionalism.   T oday , Gatundu South legislator MOSES KURIA has dropped the bombshell by intimating that , the Kenya Kwanza Alliance presidential candidate William Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua are planning not to attend the slated debates.   T he presidential debate secretariat should rise to the occasion and come clean on the upcoming president debate which is slated to take place at the end of this month. Each and every PRESIDENTIAL candidate must be treated equally and with decorum. There is no presidential candidate who is special than the other. All of them were cleared by the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati after a rigorous exercise that took place at bomas of Kenya.   Y esterday , I was glued to my television set as I tentatively followed the Nairobi Gubernatorial debate at Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA). The debate started on a low gear but in the process , gained traction as serious issues were placed in the hands of the two gubernatorial candidates. Sakaja was late and I started developing a cold feet because he had threatened not to appear in that much awaited debate. 20 minutes later from the time the debate started , Sakaja resurfaced. He didn't even apologize for coming later and from his end as a typical African leader , doing that isn't an error but a normal thing.
