Deputy President William Ruto has now closed the red line. He has removed his closed and he has decided he will not use his cronies and acolytes like Moses Kuria and his estranged running mate Rigathi Gachagua to attack President Uhuru Kenyatta and his family. His crystal balls and his libido has directed him now to dare his boss that he will prosecute him after he takes over power come August 9th. Savage!!! . This is a disaster in waiting knowing too well , Ruto is threatening a sitting President who still holds the instruments of POWER. He is still the commander in chief and what he is capable of doing is even more lethal than he has even done since 2013 to date. The utterances by Ruto has caused alot uproar especially in Mt Kenya region bastion. Just as usual , after Ruto made those utterances , he embarked in his routine campaign tours this time round going in Mt Kenya region East in Tharaka Nithi County.
Ruto is a bitter man and of late , he has found it hard to conceal it. Not even the quoting of the Bible verses to hoodwink Kenyans has worked for him. The anger in him is boiling hot like the magma of the volcano Mountain of Mt Nyarigongo in DRC or Mt Semeru in Indonesia. He is very vengeful but because he is surrounded by political advisers who resemble him from the head to the tail , what do Kenyans expect of him. He has advisers who reasons with their stomachs but their brains totally shut. History is rife that , back in 2002 when the NARC Coalition party was campaigning to clinch power from KANU regime , the late President Mwai Kibaki who was the outfits Presidential candidate didn't go from one region of Kenya to the other in his CAMPAIGNS and threatened to deal with President Moi once NARC take over power.
Kibaki knew very well how disastrous and calamitous such utterances would be. The fact that we can't run away from is that , in Africa's Political landscapes , ethnicity takes the central point. You can't alienat politics and ethnicity. Infact , they are close knitted and have created a symbiotic relationship. In Kenya , it is very sound and anybody telling you otherwise is lying. The 2022 presidential campaigns unlike those of 2017 where ethnic balkanization took the centre stage , this ones are more centred on matters ECONOMY and Cost of living. If you closely look at Kenya Kwanza Alliance and Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition party manifestos, they are about Economy this , economy that. Tribal sentiments have not be accorded any room but down here in the local levels, wanjiku is still throwing tribal sentiments though in a sporadic manner unlike in 2017 especially in Mt Kenya region where , a mention of the name Raila Odinga amounted for the whole community to isolate you. The good thing is that things have changed.

President Mwai Kibaki in his first cabinet meeting in 2003 opined that , he has no luxury to open prosecution charges againaist the former President Moi especially on corruption and Economic crimes and other charges especially on violation of human rights among other many charges. Kibaki avoided taking that route and he allowed the old man from Sacho to retreat to his residence in Kabarak , Nakuru County. Even during the Justice Bosire Golden Berg inquiry , President Moi and his KANU regime were highly implicated. Moi carried the blame because as the Head of State and Government , he prevented to tame the unabated corruption , cronyism and autocratism from his close Allies. Kibaki let it go. What shocked many Kenyans and even his close allies in the NARC government who were pushing his to open Economic , human rights violation and criminal charges towards former Head of State is when he ordered the commissioner of lands to give Moi a title deed for his Kabarnet gardens home which was a public property but Moi grabbed it to his favour.
Ruto has shown the sword to President Uhuru Kenyatta and that , if in case he takes over power come August , he will embark on going after his jagular. The question is , does Ruto and his coteries thinks President Uhuru Kenyatta will seat cosy and wait for his Deputy President to implement such a plot in him? UHURU is a Realist and a Machiavellian for that matter. He knows that in Realpolitik , you annihilate your OPPONENTS before they annihilate you. He truly knows well that , men are vengeful for slight injuries and because of this , if you have to inflict an injuries to them , they should be so severe such that their vengeance need not to be feared. Uhuru will act before and in battle crafting , it is called preventive war. It is the highest level of detterence and that is what Ruto and his charged surrogates are forgetting.

In South Africa , the Ramaphosa regime through the judiciary formed the Zondo Commission to investigate the allegations of State capture , corruption and fraud againaist forner President Jacob Zuma. That commission did its work with utmost professionalism though there were judges in that commission who determined to settle scores with Zuma. After Zuma failed to appear in a that commission in person to answer charges levelled againaist him due his health , the commission jailed him for months due to contempt of court. That alone sparked serious demonstrations from residents of his native community the Zulu and locals from his native home Kwa Zulu Natal. This demonstrations spiralled across South Africa where Zuma still enjoyed massive support. The State had no option but to retreat and go slow on Zuma. Now , in Kenya , the whole GEMA nation can turn againaist Ruto and his Goverment. If in his reasoning he thinks President Uhuru Kenyatta doesn't wield any support from his backyard , Ruto is walking in a slippery ground full of landmines and Bobby traps. The seed of contempt and hatred between his Kalenjin community and Kikuyu can now germinate and see the worst form of annihilation never seen again not only in Kenya and also in Africa.
President Uhuru Kenyatta after his rule, he can be prosecuted but from from Ruto who has pending corruption and Economic crimes charges in various Courts in Country. His running mate too has an active corruption case where he is accused of siphoning billions of shillings from Nyeri County Goverment where he supplied air at the expense of supplying medical equipments. Wonder where Nyeri residents finds energy to support this man who strangled their health infrastructure and the one who would have alleviated their pain in the medical sector. The way Ruto and his acolytes are putting it is what is making Kenyans see there is a sinister motive from the word go. What we know is , this two former KANU regime blue eyed boys who were at the heart of the oppressive acts on multi-party crusaders are now telling Kenyans who they will form a quasi judicial commission to investigate the President UHURU KENYATTA. Wait!!! That commission was be just like the kangaroo courts Gachagua and his fellow Special Branch sleuths created to try critics of the KANU regime. Fact!!! Then , how do you expect criminals and corruption tainted fellows to form a sober commission to investigate otherw while them are even worse bearing in mind they have ongoing corruption cases?
We have seen Countries where former Heads of State have been tried and charged for their acts which they orchestrated and committed while in power. In Brazil, the former President Lula Da Silva , a leftist was charged in a Court of Law for corruption and Economic crimes and was found guilty and jailed. In Bolivia , ex-President Anez was found guilty of orchestrating a coup de tat back in 2019 that brought him to power before he was disgracefully voted out by Bolivians. He was jailed for almost 10 years. In South Korea , ex-President Park Guen Hye was found guilty by a Court of Law for engaging in massive corruption and Economic plundering. After his rule , he was tried and found guilty back in 2017. He was jailed for 20 years. All this happens in a Country with strong governance Institutions not a mockery of them. In Africa , this cannot happen because even the regime forms such commissions of inquiry are also corrupt. They are just playing escapism. If President Uhuru Kenyatta will be prosecuted after his regime by Ruto I'd he becomes the next President , then , the charge sheets should be Uhuruto. Period!!!
