Senator Sakaja is someone who is feeling that , the whole World is on his shoulders. He is being trolled in this Zuckerberg streets by netizens who aee showing no iota of mercy. But wait!!! Sakaja told the world that he graduated from University of Nairobi with a first class honours in Actuarial Science. No one disputed him from the word go. Infact , those who had categorized him as an academic dwarf forcefully gave him the respect he deserves since his intellectualism was exhibited in that Actuarial Science. A course which is highly respected in Kenya and graduates always commands respect.
Today , Sakaja is furnishing IEBC with a degree in Management from a university in Uganda going by the name Team. But it is this very Sakaja in an interview where he opined to the interviewer that , he has never moved out of Kenya insearch of education. Team University is in Uganda and not in Kenya. It is only in Kenya where there is a debate on whether someone went to school and obtained the required academic papers or not. This is very disheartening to see , Senators and Members of the National Assembly who make laws that are ment to be followed by Kenyans only for them to skew them for their own selfish interests.
This Sakaja degree FIASCO has also left Commission of University Education (CUE) , Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) , Kenya National Qualifications Authority ( KNQA) , Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) with an egg on their faces. How is all this nonsense of fake Degree certificates happening when they are around? I learnt that , after Safina Party presidential aspirant Jimmy Wanjigi was barred from vying for that seat after falling shot of the mandatory requirements , he pulled the Samsonian card. He implicated fellow presidential aspirant former thespian Walter Nyambane who was cleared by IEBC only latter his CERTIFICATE to be quashed by the very commission. The question is , which Degree certificate had IEBC relied on from Nyambane that made them to clear him only to realize latter after tip off from Wanjigi that he doesn't posses one? That alone exposed Chebukati led commission that they aren't serious at all.

It goes without saying that , majority of our elected leaders are holding fake academic credentials. Fact!!! Agencies required to weed out this vice have become accomplices and to a large extent accessories to those very crimes. A petitioner moved to the IEBC dispute tribunal sitting at Milimani Courts challenging the authenticity of Machakos County gubernatorial aspirant Wavinya Ndeti's Computer Science degree. They are two who are citing that , that degree which Wavinya got it outside Kenya is fake and fraudulent. When all this is happening, where is it leaving the Commission of University Education? They are the one tasked in ensuring that , higher education certifications are done in accordance with the law. It is exonerating itself from all what is happening.What is that that they know Kenyans don't?
The University of Nairobi disowned Sakaja and through the academic register , he is still a student who is yet to complete his studies. Fine , no problem but who sneaked Sakaja in the website as one of the notable University alumnus if what Nation newspaper posted is to go by? Who is to be held responsible? An University with a good motto of " A leading University for scholarly excellence " must walk the talk. Kenyans must take this issue of academic fraud from leaders aspiring and vying for coveted political seats very seriously. This are the people you will entrust with billions of shillings from the exchequer. When they start slaying around and wearing bling bling and dancing parte after parte to the detriment of offering you quality services , you start crying foul. This nonsense of leaders falling short of the integrity and blaming their woes on political witch-hunt should be nipped in the bud. It is calamitous to say the least.
IEBC dispute tribunal should know this, that Kenyans are looking upon them to address this fiasco and drama of fake Degree certificates with alot of professionalism. The electoral act is there which is the guiding principle of this electoral commission. It is an urgent matter of public interest and should be addressed with the seriousness it deserves. Those leaders who are impeached , whether elected or not l but they were removed from office through impeachment , their cases too should be addressed without dragging innuendos and emotions based on which political divide the victims are subscribed to. We don't want to see a miscarriage of Justice and integrity from the side of IEBC. The way this commission will handle this complex and intricate cases before it , it will show Kenyans how serious and prepared the commission is in conducting the forthcoming August 9th general elections. Simple!!!
