HOW RUTO BEING ISOLATED SLOWLY WITHOUT HIS KNOWLEDGE.

 As days are melting away and the general election is drawing near , things are getting thicker and thicker for Ruto. Someone who has been boasting of commanding political influence for the last 9 years is now struggling to maintain his footing. The reason why he has been swimming in bravado and braggadocio is because he has been running on the track alone. Whether he crawled , rolled or walk in small steps , he would have ended up becoming the winner of that race. Today , things are totally different. His cunningness and shrewdness is hitting a dead wall. He has toured Mt Kenya region more that all other regions combined. Fine!!! Every one knows why this region is a political cog for him. If he wants to see the roof of State House while inside , he must get more than 85% of the GEMA nation votes. In the 5.57 Million votes , he must get at least 5.3 M votes. This is absolutely impossible. Fact!!!

Sometimes back, I gave DP Ruto pro Bono advise that the Mt Kenya region leaders who keep following him are doing that because he is greasing both their hands and their pockets. They are just giving him fazed loyalty. It is just cosmetic and inorganic. They don't trust him at all. As at now , they are just political opportunists who have converted him to be a hotel. They only tell him things they want him to hear and not the reality. Now that Ruto christened him as the new  Mt Kenya region "political kingpin" they kept quiet and followed him dogmatically with their tongues wagging because they realized that , by telling him he made the fatal political mistake by uttering that statement , they continued singing for him praise songs. Why would they tell him and they are hanging on him for political survival? 

The most ironical thing is that , Ruto believes that his charm offense of using the Mt Kenya region political leaders to snear , disparage , insult and pour cold water on Jubilee Government led by President Uhuru Kenyatta is a score for him. He has virtually visited all the Churches in the region. Organizing for Harambees and even giving proposals to which projects to be rolled out and he will attend Harambee and contribute huge sums of monies. Rumours gave been , after the Harambees in this Churches ,a section of contributed monies would be wired back to him.  How this is true I don't know but all I know is , in every rumor , there is an element of truth. Ruto believed that , by using politicians allied to him to attack the government he is serving as the second in command and the Handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga , his bait to Mountaineers will catch huge swathes of voters in the region.

Ruto forgot that , you can't disparage a father infront of his children and think that , though at first they will agree with you and join you in that fray , a time will come when they will go back to default settings. That's when you will realize that , an oilskin of the homestead isn't to be rubbed on the shoulders of a stranger. This proverb is coming into a reality and there is no Gíkûyū proverb that is uttered or exists in vain. Most of Ruto's allies are in Mt Kenya region. In other regions , he is dealing with political brokers who aren't sure of securing any political seat or even defend the ones they are holding. He lacks leaders and support base that can offer him organic voting block. In KENYA'S political space and this is undisputed fact , the only politician who commands a huge organic support base is Raila Odinga. Raila Odinga doesn't need to use mobilization funds evea penny to fill jacaranda grounds , Kasarani and Nyayo stadia , UHURU Park etc. That tells you he is a political leader who resonates well with Kenyans.

Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has shown Ruto the middle finger. He has actually spitted on his shoes in broad daylight. He is even openly campaigning for Azimio la Umoja duo ( Martha Karua and Raila Odinga). What Ruto should always keep close to his chest is , majority of Mt Kenya region residents and politicians who keep following him and reciting his name more than 100 times per day won't vote for him. The deficit of trust in him wanned when they voted for Prof Kindiki Kithure in Karen residence instead of Gachagua to be his running mate. The voting was done thrice and all those times , Prof Kindiki Kithure triumphed. But Ruto rubbished their quest and choice. The question they asked themselves and are asking themselves is , if he can ignore their humble opinion and choice when he tasked them to pick for him a running mate who would help him consolidate his votes in Mt Kenya region and Kenya as whole , how can they trust and believe him in many promises he is making to them , the region and the whole Kenya?

The other most ironical thing is , the pioneers of the Mt Kenya Unity Forum (MKUF) were William Kabogo , Moses Kuria and Mwangi Kiunjuri. They are the ones who groomed Karua for running mate position. President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga , as political animals who think strategically and wittly went for Martha Karua and picked her to be Raila's running mate. What makes believe the 3 mustekeers are rooting for his presidency? Kabogo has said it in verbatim that Gachagua is a dictator. What else is Ruto waiting to be told that, the so called politicians he has been thinking are his political friends are with him? They aren't at all. They won't vote for him and their rebellion is spiralling downwards to the ordinary wanjiku in the villages, shopping and tea buying centres. In the bus terminals and markets. The narrative is changing monumentally and monumentally. I know many will dispute me but if him Ruto getting to read this article , if his wisdom will command him to refute it, well and good. If he will embrace it , fine because it will help him rivet some mistakes he has made and has been making. 

They say in politics , there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies, only permanent interests. In Ruto's case , it is very different. This is the time he needs loyal friends who will seal tiny holes in his ship so that he reaches his political destination. The fatal thing is , majority of them are carrying with them pick axes to make holes to the ship. Is it the time to do so? Absolutely No. GEMA nation have been lying to Ruto. He thought by them filling his political rallies to the brim after hefty mobilization exercises , they will hold on him till August 9th. Savage!!! They are now turning their loyalty elsewhere. The man from Sugoi is now making more political foes in Mt Kenya region more than any other region in Kenya. The Kabogo , Kuria and Kiunjuri cases are just a tip of an iceberg. More is expected to unfold as we approach August. Ruto thought he is using Mt Kenya region leaders to make things easy for him in as far as his PRESIDENTIAL bid is concerned. They are now the ones who are using him. They are just hanging unto his political coat to clinch various political seats. Period!!! They don't care whether he will win the presidential election or not. Painful truth.
