WHY GACHAGUA IS AZIMIO'S BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE?

 When Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua is silent or off the microphone , UDA and the whole Kenya Kwanza Alliance caramaderie are happy and psychologically relaxed while their rivals in the Azimio la Umoja fold are in total dismay in as far as vote hunting is concerned. Gachagua is number one Azimio la Umoja campaigner anytime he gets hold of the microphone addressing a gathering. There is a very huge disconnect between him and what he utters. The moment he puts his tongue in motion , he does more harm to Ruto's presidential bid. That's his greatest weakness and it is inherently in him. Ruto cannot do anything to salvage the sinking ship. His captain is fatal.

The former KANU regime District Officer (DO) and Mathira Constituency MP is a man who is ambitious but his ambitions aren't for seeking for the presidency but that of a parliamentary seat. The kind of campaigns he is undertaking are those of someone who is engaging in local politics and not national politics where , he should portray himself as the face of Kenya. Looking at him , Gachagua isn't presidential at all. He forced himself on Ruto and the running mate position. It was not altruistic at all. Even for him vying for Mathira Parliamentary seat back in 2017 , he just ride on the sympathy of having lose his brother who was the first Governor of Nyeri County and the Jubilee Party euphoria. Since then , the MP has been thriving on controversy and a litany of corruption cases involving billions of shillings. As for Azimio la Umoja , their prater is one , let Gachagua to be given the microphone frequently because , it is his greatest weakling.

Just the other day , while addressing a political rally , he promised that , Kenya Kwanza Alliance if they form the government , they will pay the police officers well so that they enroll in the Universities , get those degree certificates and then , that goverment will employ them. That means , currently , they aren't employed yet they are serving the government and even protecting him. So far , his security detail have been upscaled. Is he guarded by militia groups or police officers assigned to him by the government? That's the question many kenyans were left wondering after listening to him.  Still on thr issue of police officers whom he has been using them as campaign toolkit that , Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i has been mistreating them. The question is , is Dr Matiang'i the person who pays them their salaries and allowances? Is he the one who promotes them? In short , is he the one who looks at their social welfare? 

There is a National Police Commission that looks at their welfare. Their salaries and allowances , promotions , deployment of senior officials etc. Again , what's the colleration between Dr Matiang'i and police uniform? Is Matiang'i the one who proposed them to be wearing the blue uniform instead of their traditional blue and white ones? This are the very people who are telling is that , the government should stop using State Officers to campaign for Raila Odinga yet from the very end of their mouths , they are hear using them( police officers) as their campaign toolkits. It is not a worry because , they have perfected the art of double speak. Their brains and mouths aren't in tandem when they're speaking to Kenyans. Microphone is doing them a very serious harm. 

Old habits dies hard and that's what we're seeing in Rigathi. His behavioral characters which he inherited from the former autocratic and despotic KANU regime are all over his body. However much he is trying to hide them , it is becoming a toll order to divorce them from him. I wonder whether he always calls himself in a political rally before a political rally. Methinks he doesn't do that because , everytime he takes the microphone , the first thing he thinks of doing is attacking the government instead of craftly selling the agenda of his presidential candidate. Ruto should ask himself , is Rigathi a liability or an asset to him when it comes to vote hunting?

In the first place , Mt Kenya region UDA politicians had rejected Rigathi Gachagua. Did Ruto asked himself the reason why they were rejecting him? To him , he looked at Gachagua from a monetary point of view instead of his persona and character. Now , he is a man who is regretting now. It is no doubt that , it is Rigathi who has been financing UDA political activities in Mt Kenya region. Whether the rally is happening in Kiambu or Nyeri or Nyandarua or Mūrang'a etc. He has spent millions of shillings doing it. Now , it is that point that Rigathi played carrot and politics on Ruto. From where am seated , I believe Ruto would have preferred a fellow intellectual to the detriment of Rigathi. But the hunter became the hunted. Kenyans are asking themselves , if Rigathi wasn't picked to be Ruto's running mate , what would have happened? Would he have allowed himself to be promised a plum State job in a government he isn't certain it will be formed?

It is him( Gachagua) who promised Kenyans who are highly alienated from proximity to medical centres that , instead of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Government to build more hospitals from the scratch to eradicate the problems locals are going through in accessing vital medical services , it will empower traditional medical "doctors" and medicine men. This don't forget is the reasoning of someone aspiring to be the next Deputy President of Kenya. This kind of statement is disheartening to say the least. This is someone who doesn't qualify to occupy a public office. Wait!!! This is someone who doesn't deserve to come near a public office even passing near it , it should be declared a criminal case.

The ascension of Rigathi Gachagua as Ruto's running mate has exposed him to Kenyans of all walks of life what kind of a person is he. From the word go , this is someone I have been saying Kenya's history doesn't seat cosy with him. It is vindicating him right , left abd centre. Whether he tries to sanitize himself , I don't think there is any industrial detergent that can help him do so. Our "deputy president" in waiting is showing us things that are making him look like a political thespian. Now , Ruto promised women who has convened yesterday at Nyayo stadium that , he will roll out a medical cover that will cater for them. The question , will those who will be seeking services from witch doctors and medicine men be covered? But I wonder , Ruto has been calling someone Mganga ( witch doctor) , will he seek his services?

Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party honchos have become defenders of Rigathi Gachagua. They are protesting when he is not given the microphone. They are protesting when he is not dispatched to go vote hunting alone without Ruto necessarily accompanying him. That , they know is not a threat for them but a huge score. They know his choleric feelings and emotions will take the better of him. He will slip the tongue. As it happened yesterday , it was easy to bribe or coerce pastor Jane who dropped a bombshell in the middle of the prayers by referring Kenya Kwanza Alliance as Kenya Kwisha Alliance , but it was difficult to bribe her tongue , mind and heart. My partying shot is GIVE GACHAGUA THE MICROPHONE.
