THE DYNAMIC AND UNBWOGABLE DUO.

 The Right Hon Eng Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua SC have been cleared today by IEBC to contest in the August 9th presidential elections. Kenyans of all walks of life thronged in the capital Nairobi where the duo went for a church service at All Saints cathedral before proceeding to bomas of Kenya to finalize the Chebukati business. Now , the long walk to State House has started in earnest. The wind of change is blowing right from north of Sahara and south of River Limpopo. The cloud of hope is pregnantly hanging over Kenya. Come August , a new dawn will be born. Change is as good as rest and no wonder am saying , a problem cannot be solved using the very mentality that created it. We can't allow a person who has been in the government for the last 10 years , being party to the mess we are in to solve our problems. That's backward reasoning.

Someone asked me, what is that DP Ruto is coming to do that he couldn't have done all that while as the second in command? He has been part of the problem infact worse. He has been sabotaging the government agenda and operations so that he will use Kenyans predicaments to rise to the echelons of power , this time round , as the next president of Kenya. He believes tjst , for you to dominate and rule over the Artisans ( hoi polloi) , you must first impoverish them. That's the sure way of ruling over them. Hungry masses are easy to be manipulated because they reason with their stomachs rather than their brains. That's not someone who should be near State House at all costs. I even ask myself , where does he get energy to stand in front of the people and make another round of empty promises?

Ruto is the very same person who promised us 9 stadia , a double digit Economy , 1 million jobs , reduction in the prices of basic commodities eg Maize flour and cost of fertilizer etc. As the master of double speak who has perfected in the art of spewing a plethora of lies , he has now reinvigorated himself and now he is hoodwinking gullible Kenyans that , he is a panacea to their Economic problems using a populist narrative , the bottom up economic model. Hilarious!!! Kenyans of all walks of life have trust and confidence in Raila-Martha presidential ticket. The duo aren't carrying with them the sins of this Jubilee Party administration. Am ain't saying that there are no goodies that can be associated with it , they are infact many but the only worrying thing is , the person who grounded everything in the name of Ruto is now masquerading as the solutions to those very problems.

In like , sometimes you need to bring your adversaries on board inorder to save you from the hands of your close friends who are planning day and night to dethrone you or ground you in totality. DP Ruto became bitter with President Uhuru Kenyatta after the March 13 , 2018 handshake because , it scuttled all his plans. I will ventilate on that issue very soon. For now , I want to rally Kenyans to differentiate between sober promises and leaders who are giving them hope and those who are just riding on populism and politics of conmanship , deceit and thuggery.  We must avoid Snake oil merchants who are packaged in Kenya Kwanza Alliance. When you listen to them talk about matters ECONOMY , they are just populistic. If you listen to them talking about the ballooning public debt , you may think they were in diaspora only to return back to Kenya and found that debt which has hit the normal debt ceiling. They are part and parcel of all those problems. They gave the treasury a go ahead through the National Assembly. The question is , did Jubilee Government started borrowing after the handshake? Or it started way back in 2013 after entering into the office?

The Raila Karua administration should know this , that , Kenyans have alot of expectations in them more than they have in their opponents. They are packaging themselves as the face of hope and tranquility. Kenyans are optimistic that , the dragon of corruption will be dealt with strongly and with ZERO mercies. Kenya is an economic hub in East Africa region and in the great lakes region. Our GDP and GDP per Capita is also very high because , from the word go , Kenyans , starting with the cottage industry to corporate entities , they are a hardworking lot. The only thing that has condemned them into shackles of miseries and doom is the unabated corruption and State resources being concentrated into the hands of a chosen few political elites. This are the so-called philosopher-Kings and a few Auxiliaries ( middle class) but the rest of the Artisans ( ordinary Kenyans) are left in the bottom to survive on their own. This is the genesis of the conflict between the ordinary wanjiku and her Government. The problem is the skyrocketing cost of living. As it was said , the desire for food is the cause of the great political development in the World.

This dynamic duo must also understand that, they are inheriting a 13 trillion economy from the President UHURU KENYATTA administration and a public debt amounting to 10 trillion. The elephant in thr room is how to handle that situation and at the same time implement a litany of promises it is giving to Kenyans. The undisputed fact is , the next administration will have to borrow , whether it is Azimio la Umoja or Kenya Kwanza Alliance but I have alot of optimism with Raila Odinga presidency. Reason is , with his astounding and astute international clout and aura , Raila will be in a position to bargain and negotiate for debt rescheduling with the IMF , WB , bilateral and multilateral donors who Kenya owes. This will give him a room to organize his administration especially Economically. In Raila Odinga , am seeing a president who will be able to shape Kenya's Foreign Policy in a very sober manner. What Kenyans don't understand is that , the many Economic problems we are facing , cannot entirely been solved domestically but also internationally. That's why , a State like Kenya , cannot operate in isolation.

When Raila Odinga is telling us he has a plan of how to solve this Country's economic predicaments , I believe in him. There is that fear that majority of kenyans who haven't made up their minds on whether to vote for Ruto or Raila are having? This is , they are fearing that Raila Martha administration will be held captive by the oligarchs and buccaneers who will be bankrolling their campaigns expecting favour in return. This is how a State capture is mooted. A good example is like South Africa. The Gupta family empire held president Thabo Mbeji administration hostage. They also held that of President Jacob Zuma hostage infact this was worse. That are also accused of holding President Cyril Ramaphosa hostage. This is the fear majority of kenyans have. Inorder to erase it from Kenyans minds , Raila Martha ticket must instill alot of faith and trust in Kenyans. They must assure them that , it won't happen. But the reality is , those who make you president , note , I mean making not voting for you to become a president. The voting and making of a president are totally two different things.

Kenyans don't want a Government that will be held hostage by cartels , cabals , oligarchs and buccaneers. If this happens , the miseries Kenyans are going through will increase to astronomical levels and become even monumental than the way they are currently. Raila Martha presidential ticket must understand this that , to whom must is bestowed , much is also expected from them. Kenya's problems will start to be solved from the microeconomic level all the way to macroeconomic levels. Am gearing to see the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party presidential manifesto and the much awaited debate. On the others side , am not expecting anything since , it is infested by Economic terrorists and individuals who are more entrenched in KLEPTOCRACY and money laundering. In then , the future is dark and BLURRED. Zero hopes only populistic statements of keeping Kenyans busy but taking them nowhere. FACT.
