HOW IT IS HARD TO BE "DEPUTY PRESIDENT" RIGATHI GACHAGUA?
Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua , the man from Mathira Constituency , Nyeri County is a man under siege politically. From colliding with the government to falling out with president Uhuru Kenyatta and now , falling out even with himself. By himself I mean , his persona and his out self are in conflict. In the first place , he was picked to be Ruto's running mate in a controversial manner. In short , he bulldozed himself. What Ruto didn't know is , Rigathi Gachagua volunteered himself to bankroll the UDA activities in Mt Kenya region not because he was loyal to him or the party just because he had fallen out with his party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee Party which sponsored him to the National Assembly.
History doesn't favour Gachagua at all. However much he may try to sanitize it , it will be difficult to do it. So far , majority of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance supporters and top honchos were critical of him being picked as Ruto's running mate. They didn't vote for him when DP Ruto hosted Mt Kenya region MPs and Senators in his Karen official residence showed that , Rigathi has out of taste with majority of his colleagues. They all wanted Prof Kindiki Kithure. For Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party , the choice of Gachagua was a blessing in disguise. So far , he has done more harm to Ruto Politically using a microphone. Infact , Azimio la Umoja love when he is using that mic and the whole Country is looking at him. Infact , Kenya Kwanza Alliance coteries shakes when they see him holding the microphone. They understand too well the kind of damage he will cause.
He has off late verbal diarrhead on very sensitive national issues that requires sobriety irrespective of which political divide you belong. He talked about Safaricom and kenya Airways by telling us that , they should be strangled and the monies should be giving to the so called Mama mboga. This is a populistic statement and when it comes from someone who is eyeing to occupy the second highest seat in KENYA , it becomes heart breaking. This man id , ego and super ego is astronomical and monumental. He is full of himself and arrogant. He always struggle to fit in the common Wanjiku shoes but his notorious behavior always betrays him. Could Ruto be regretting for picking him as his running mate?

For those who tentatively watched the behavior of the masses who were listening to Rigathi and his friends who are also elected leaders and aspiring ones , they were only mentioning the word Ruto and UDA nothing else. They didn't tell the locals what Ruto will do if he can be elected as the next president of Kenya. That alone irked the residents who were very cold in their receptivity. When the likes of Wamaua , Jaguar , Alice etc were posing questions for them , the reception was extremely very poor. This are the organic voters who were behaving like this. Even the mobilized masses were also not happy. The ground is dramatically shifting in my Kenya region. Some of the analysis I make here will come to pass or it is manifesting itself in the ground.
DP Ruto has so far realized that , Rigathi cannot be tasked in marshalling the much needed votes he is gearing to get in Mt Kenya region. With almost 8.5 million voters , Ruto is expected to garner 80% of this votes if he wants to keep his dreams of occupying State House alive. As this stands , the graph is taking a negative deviation. Rigathi and his ilk will not deliver for him. He needs to be coniin this region in person but if he will rely on Rigathi , he will lose the remaining votes he has. We all agreed that , there are no new votes Ruto will add in his fold. As at now , he only needs to ring fence the only votes he has or else , the Martha Karua SC effect will sweep them all and left him with just a handful which can't help him at all.
It is now clear that Kenya Kwanza Alliance is Ruto and Ruto is Kenya Kwanza Alliance. Without him , this outfit is politically dead. His strategy of diffusion whereby , his fellow principals to go and campaign in other regions won't work. Yesterday, Governor Alfred Mutua was dispatched to campaign in Kitui County. He only addressed a handful of residents who were in their usual businesses. In Western Kenya , Mudavadi and Wetangula were dispatched to campaign there. In Mt Kenya region , Rigathi Gachagua did it. In Coast , especially in Kilifi County , Kingi was dispatched. If Ruto was doing a pilot study , then , it failed miserably.
UDA bigwigs in Mt Kenya region gave Rigathi's political tour yesterday a wide berth. If they had rejected him at Karen when Ruto was picking his running mate , what did you expect? They have a very low opinion about him. Ruto bypassed their decision when they rejected Gachagua and in unison endorsed Prof Kindiki Kithure. He ignored them. He looked at Gachagua's deep pockets which are now not working in his favor but in favour of Azimio la Umoja fraternity. The battle and War are now being won by Raila Odinga and Martha Karua. Each day , they are converting new hearts and making their vote baskets to bulge. It will continue bulging and all we want is , Gachagua to be given the microphone over and over AGAIN. GOVE GACHAGUA THE MICROPHONE.
