KALONZO , THE INDICISIVE POLITICAL ANIMAL.

 For the last 2 weeks , Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has been blowing both hot and cold. He has in that past 2 weeks displayed all the colours of the environment he has found himself in. From giving ultimatums on Nairobi City County Gubernatorial seat , to that of demanding the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party to pick him as Raila Odinga running mate. Kalonzo Musyoka joined Azimio la Umoja last month. Before and after joining the outfit , through his proteges , he started issuing threats and intimidation. Infact , he has now perfected the art of playing the stick and carrot politics. Blackmail is his new weapon in his political tool kit. But the question is , for how long will he continue behaving this way? What Kalonzo should put close to his chest is , one day , he will be in the presidential ballot. He will need the support of both the larger GEMA and Luo ethnic nations. 

Since 2007 , he has been using his Kamba ethnic nation to negotiate for political deals. The three governors of Ukambani Counties , that is Hon Ngilu , Hon Prof. Kivutha Kibwana and Dr Alfred Mutua have been accusing him of using blackmail and deceit to force himself into things. Before Kalonzo joined Azimio la Umoja , the 3 Governors accused him of soliciting sh 3 Billion from both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga who are key stakeholders in Azimio la Umoja. Kalonzo insisted of three legged stool kind of dialogue. Fine. He also insisted on structured dialogue. It was granted. He demanded the name One Kenya Alliance ( OKA) to be captured into Azimio la Umoja. It was granted and the coalition party was registered as Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party. All the demands Kalonzo Musyoka and his coteries are fronting are all heeded to. The question is , what kind of a leader is Kalonzo? How can Raila Odinga Incase he wins the presidential election deal with Kalonzo as his Deputy? Someone who is politically surviving on blackmail and deceit?

Kalonzo Musyoka is still suffering from NASA hangovers. He forgets that , the political parties act was amended and it isn't the same like the previous one especially in coalitions and Alliance building. He must wake up from the slumber he is holed in. He must present himself as a presidential material and not like a political opportunist who is just scavanging on political blackmail. Kenyans are tired of his Humpty Dumpty games. We are waiting for tommorow for Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party to unveil its running mate. Kenya Kwanza Alliance did it today. So , since tommorow is the deadline , Kalonzo can actualize his threats and move to court to seek orders for him to leave Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party.

It is cognizance to note that , it is Kalonzo Musyoka who will walk out of Azimio la Umoja and not his wiper party or One Kenya Alliance. The law is very clear. He was part and parcel of whipping his wiper party legislators to support the political parties ( amendment) act of 2021. Now , the best he can is to vie for PRESIDENTIAL seat as an independent candidate. Has he informed his Ukambani region residents of it? Are they ready to see Kalonzo's poster without wiper party colours? What will he tell them? He said he signed the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party agreement without reading. This is hilarious. He is a senior counsel. A lawyer of reputable stand and credentials. How can he convince us he wasn't privy to that agreement? What were Daniel Maanzo , Enoch wambua and Mutula Kilonzo Jr doing?

Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party should proceed with their exercise of giving us Raila Odinga running mate tommorow. We have no time to engage Kalonzo Musyoka but Kamba nation should not allow themselves again to be led by an indecisive individual who doesn't know what he wants let alone his community at large. I have no problem with Kamba people because majority are my friends but them too are nagged by Kalonzo's recent behaviors. His behavioral characters are very shrewd. Let him take the decision he wants to take alone. Let him leave the rest to shape their own Political discourse. He can't leave the Kamba nation again into the political wastelands. Yes!!! Kalonzo must be called out.
