KENYA KWANZA ALLIANCE ; A FORMIDABLE ALLIANCE OR JUST A HOUSE OF CARDS?

 It is now evident that , there is storm in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance after small affiliate political parties in Mt Kenya region , that is , Tujibebe Wakenya party , Chama Cha Kazi , The service party etc which were lately roped in to join the alliance though in a casual manner. The biggest stakeholder in Kenya Kwanza Alliance is UDA and UDA is Kenya Kwanza Alliance. The rest , Amani National Congress ( ANC) and Ford Kenya are just there to be seen inorder to hoodwink the residents of Western Kenya that , they are firmly in that Alliance. They were offered 30% of the government and State portfolios if they manage to bring on board 70% of Western Kenya votes. The question , where will they get this votes from? In this scenario , someone is taking the rest in a fishing expedition.

Kenya Kwanza Alliance is a mongrel of an alliance where , on paper , it is said that it has 3 principals but in reality , it is one party that is dictating all the terms. In this case I mean , it is UDA which is calling shot in thet Alliance. It is UDA which is dictating who will speak and who won't speak in their rallies and the ongoing rallies cosmetically dubbed as the economic forums. The small affiliate political parties especially in Mt Kenya region are being treated like outsiders who have ZERO impact in that outfit. Just from the word go , Ruto poured cold water in this political parties. He labelled them as brief case , regional and tribal outfits. It is after jubilee Party roped in almost 26 political parties in Azimio la Umoja fold that Ruto retracted from his adamant footing that he will not work with these small parties.

In the ongoing Economic forums especially in Mt Kenya region , the one which took place at Gakoigo stadium in Maragwa Constituency raised alot of eyebrows. Ruto and his UDA coteries rooted for a six piece voting pattern for UDA aspirants yet , in that forum , gubernatorial aspirants Irungu Nyakera and former water PS Wairagu who belong to Farmers Party and Democratic Party respectively were present. There were other aspirants for other elective seats on Tujibebe Wakenya , CCK and TSP who were present but we're not recognized at all. That's tells you that , the hypocrisy in Kenya Kwanza Alliance is very huge and loud no wonder Wetangula is defending his Bungoma Senatorial seat even after being promised to coveted seat. Is he developing a cold feet? Is there something he knows Ruto doesn't know?

In Nyandarua County during the ongoing Economic forums held by Kenya Kwanza Alliance , Ruto left there a very worried and a disappointed man. By failing to recognize aspirants in that county vying for various political seats using other small parties affiliated to Kenya Kwanza made them to react in a very angry manner.Some UDA aspirants who were called upon to address the gathering were even booed. The conversation there after that event was , Ruto must respect this small political parties or else , they will punish him at the ballot come August. Ruto should know this , if he treats this parties abnormally , in return , they will treat him in a very abnormal way in reciprocity. The choice is his but the entry of Martha Karua as Raila Odinga's running mate has changed the narrative in the mountain. All his tours he has been making for the last 9 years using massive resources will be reduced into rubbles.

DP Ruto isn't a witty politician but a cunning one. He incited the Mt Kenya region residents aganaist their political kingpin president Uhuru Kenyatta. He hived a huge number of his support base but not , Wanjiku in the mountain is going back to default settings. He has started pocking holes in Ruto's intentions especially Politically and economically. They are interrogating his bottom up economic model. They are questioning his wisdom of picking Rigathi Gachagua as his running mate to the detriment of Prof Kindiki Kithure. Ruto will have to re-strategize not to get more votes from Mt Kenya region but to ring fence the ones he currently projecting he will get. So far , the Martha Karua factor tilted alot of undecided votes in Azimio la Umoja fold. Fact!!!

As a political pundit , am seeing a scenerio where , Ruto will start camping in Mt Kenya region thrice a week to try and neutralize the Karua wave. Karua in a coded language is saying , she has come to the mountain to plant. Then , he will come back to remove weeds and finally to water the crops. If Ruto isn't understanding what that message from Martha Karua is , then , he has just reached the Waterloo.  The battle has just began. Yes!!!
