THE SMELL OF PROF. KINDIKI BETRAYAL IS RIFE.

 It is now evident that , Ruto's running mate is Rigathi Gachagua. Fact!!! But in all that , Prof Kindiki Kithure has been thrown under the bus. Fact!!! Infact , the whole Nation was gearing to hear and see Kindiki being picked as William Ruto running mate. He is a leader who is accepted across the board. When people look at Prof Kindiki Kithure , they see the late president Mwai Kibaki. His softness and non combative nature makes Kindiki to be endeared by many across the board. Truth is , Ruto is viewed as a dictator , a leader who falls short of emotional intelligence. A bitter person who doesn't have room for forgiveness. Always portrays himself as a leader who upon getting hold of instruments of power , he is capable of going after all his political adversaries and his close friends whom he feels knows him alot abs can pose a threat to his rule. 

The betrayal of Kindiki is stinking to thr high Heavens. Himself , his family , friends and relatives feel as if they have been stabbed in their hearts. They are bleeding politically. There is nothing at this moment they can wipe their tears. All indicators for the better of this week we're that , Kindiki had all it takes to be Ruto's running mate. His meaty academic and scholarly attributes , his experience in the legal practice and teaching. Though he may lack a big political experience , in the public service , his career in that field was enough to put him in a pole position. Residents of Tharaka Nithi County are struggling to come into terms as to what happened today at Karen. Wait!!! Kindiki was no show. Where was he? What made him to give that occasion a wide berth? For political pundits , that shows , the impasse that ensued yesterday at Karen didn't go well. Ruto was to unveil his running mate yesterday but a confusion developed. Talks to solve that confusion took more than 11 hours. If you people can remember , Ruto's Presidential campaign communication office Hussein Mohammed cleared the air that Ruto had postponed that exercise at night. That tells you things were not that cosy at Karen.

Ruto convinced Prof Kindiki Kithure to drop his Tharaka Nithi County gubernatorial race infavour of the incumbent Muthomi Njuki. That wasn't an easy decision for Kindiki but he accepted after being told , Ruto can consider him as his preferred running mate inorder to reward the residents of Mt Kenya East. His supporters and residents of Tharaka Nithi County were convinced with no iota of doubt that Ruto will reward him( Kindiki) with a running mate position. What will Ruto tell them? Which coveted seat has Ruto promised Kindiki in case they win come August 9th? He has nipped his political career in the bud? He could have allowed Kindiki to contest for Gubernatorial seat and lose or win at the ballot instead of hoodwinking him to drop that only to short circuit him politically. Sad!!! That's the highest level of political thuggery and conmanship.

It is evident that UDA had cleared Rigathi Gachagua to defend his Mathira Constituency seat. So, if Ruto had settled with Gachagua from thr word go , why did he allowed him to defend his seat? That tells you Ruto had his choice for running mate position and not Rigathi. Chances are high that it was Prof Kindiki Kithure. All along , the Prof was privy that , he was the one to be picked only for the U-turn to be made yesterday. Betrayal in Kenya is the only know political currency bit this of Kindiki is calamitous , obnoxious and incongruent. Ruto has perfected this art of betraying his friends but his political deceit and hypocrisy always exposes him. In this case of Kindiki , it has exposed him big.

In Tharaka Nithi County gubernatorial race , the incumbent Muthomi Njuki will face it rough. There will be a protest vote towards UDA. His opponent Prof. Erastus Njoka of Jubilee Party will reap big. That's a fact. Already , Ruto has injured the hearts and feelings of residents of Tharaka Nithi. They are bitter and thr best way to Institute a revenge is by punishing Njuki. He will be the first casualty. Yes!!! The second will be Ruto. If there will be no voter apathy , then , a mass exodus of his supporters from this county and region will troop to Azimio la Umoja. Time is of essence now.
