PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA ; A DEMOCRAT TO BE REVERED.


 In 2017 , immediately after the contested presidential elections , Kenya was slowly sliding back to the angry and heartbreaking history of post election violence of 2007/8. National Super Alliance coalition ( NASA) had successfully petitioned the Uhuruto victory in the Supreme Court. After a protracted legal battle , NASa won the case after the Supreme Court bench led by form Chief Justice David Marauga nullified President Uhuru Kenyatta victory. Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ( IEBC) was ordered to conduct fresh presidential elections. Which happened but to the shock of many Kenyans and the World , NASA presidential flag bearer chickened out of that repeat presidential elections.

President Uhuru Kenyatta ended up winning that election. Raila Odinga cited that , there were chances that Jubilee Party had already rigged that election. So , it could be a battle in futility if he participated in an election which the outcome is already determined. During the swearing in ceremony at kasarani stadium , NASA principals did not show up. Infact , Raila Odinga was not in the country at that time. Tension started brewing up. Regions where Raila Odinga wields massive support started demonstrations. Massive destruction of properties follow suit. A cloud of pandemonium and consternation was pressing the souls of many Kenyans especially in those regions where spontaneous demos erupted.

After NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga jetted back in the Country , he was received by a mammoth crowd who had thronged at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). Traffic was disrupted in the busy Mombasa road. The traffic police were overwhelmed as the crowd was streaming in on the roads leading to the airport. Just like the Shah revolutionary leader was received in Iran in the 1970's after the collapse of Mossadegh regime which was perceived as corrupt and dictatorial. Raila told his supporters in verbatim that , he does not recognize President Uhuru Kenyatta regime and that it is in power illegally. Cries of cessation started cropping up. In Coast region , ODM supporters expressed their displeasure by wanting to be given sovereignty and cessed from mainland Kenya. The Pwani siyo Kenya rented the air. In western and Nyanza regions , similar calls were echoed. The country was slowly taking a pariah State route. 

The culmination of this melee was when NASA called for the disbandment of IEBC. Demonstrations were staged in Nairobi's CBD thrice a week. This disrupted businesses , investor confidence was eroded and the economy which had used billions of shillings in Elections was nose diving. To hit the last nail in the coffin , Raila Odinga and his supporters staged a mocked swearing in ceremony at UHURU park. This is where President Uhuru Kenyatta patience was tested. The act alone was a treason and the military was to swing into action full throttle. But President UHURU KENYATTA avoided the bloodshed that could have been witnessed. Raila sworn in as people's president and not as the president of the republic of Kenya. President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered a huge contingent of security officers who were at Uhuru park to retreat. Provide security within the periphery of that park and ensure after that ceremony , everyone to go home peacefully. That's exactly what happened. KENYATTA showed his true democratic ideals. Majority of this colleagues especially in Africa would have taken a violent and brutal route to hand that situation where , bloodshed would have been witnessed.

For the sake of peace which surpasses any human understanding , president Uhuru Kenyatta went looking for his political nemesis Raila Odinga. They vowed to put their differences aside for the sake of the peace of the country. A handshake was mooted and outside the Harambee House offices , President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga shook hands to signify peace. The tension that had brewed in regions Raila enjoys massive support ended and peace prevailed. President Uhuru Kenyatta was lauded by the international community for that act. He was an exceptional leader because , in many developing States especially those which are autocratic and authoritarian , presidents don't behave the way UHURU KENYATTA did. He is a democrat his exposed his inner person. As a Realist , he shocked his fellow realists who are in power. In realism , dialogue is the last thing they employ. Force is the only thing which is employed to address the kind of situation president Uhuru Kenyatta found himself in. A true DEMOCRAT he is.

NO NEED OF THREATS; KENYANS ARE JUST MAKING A COMMUNIQUE TO THEIR GOVERNMENT AND LEADERS.

T his afternoon , I have seen a video clip of Uasin Gishu County commissioner Dr Edison Nyale threatening chiefs and their assistant chiefs for not working hard in mobilizing residents in their respective locations and sub locations to attend the Jamhuri Day celebrations that took place yesterday at Kapsoya secondary school ground. From that video , the County Commissioner looks and sounds someone who is agitated, irritated and bitter. Wananchi waliususia mkutano wa Mtemi Bokono. Hivyo basi , Mtemi hakufurahishwa na Jambo Hilo hata kidogo. At the same time , the Governor of Uasin Gishu Hon Jonathan Bii aka Koti moja was present and from his end , he accused the ward co-ordinators for failing to mobilize residents to attend those celebration. It is hilarious to see , the administrative and political wings are blaming people who ought not to be blamed.  Days are gone when the Chiefs act was being used effectively in this Country. WHY THE CHURCH HAS LOST IT ALL?

  T he church of late has found itself in the receiving end. It has auctioned the pulpit it should be protecting it , they have offered it to the political elites. Today , it is very difficult to know , which shepherd is genuinely leading the sheep to the light and the one leading them to the dark. Money laundering has now become rampant in churches. Those who have been in the front to propagate that vice is the clergy and a section of political elites. They organise for fictious projects and tag the cost too high. Since they know their congregants aren't in a position to raise it , their pastors/ vicars/ reverends/ Fathers organise for a church fundraise and invite leading politicians who inturn bring the monies in liquid form and not through cheque. If the real cost of the project is sh 2.5 Million , they will ensure that fundraise gets more than that amount. The church will take its share and the other , they give back to the politicians to engage in another business like that. ...
