WHY THE CHOICE OF RUNNING MATE WITH EITHER MAKE OR BREAK RUTO?

 As days are melting away , we are edging closer to the deadline set by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for Presidential aspirants to name their running mates. Our eyeshadow as Kenyans are trading theirs eyes on the two front runners in that contest; 

1. Raila Odinga

2. William Ruto

Let me for now focus my energies on one UDA's presidential flag bearer DP William Ruto. As of late , his energy is unmatched. After having a very hectic and tempting duty of overseeing the UDA nominations , he is now back full throttle in wooing 50 million Kenyans to support his presidential bid. So far , the recent opinion polls that have been conducted are placing him in a pole position. So far , truth be told , the contest is between the two and the rest remains the rest. So , IEBC should save Kenyans the agony of having the presidential ballot paper have close to 55 busybodies. Fact!!!

Ruto's hopes hangs precariously on the edge of a sharp knife. The choice of his running mate will either make him or break him. From reliable sources , it is him to will personally pick his running mate. So far , indicators shows that Tharaka Nithi Senator Prof Kindiki Kithure is in a pole position to get that slot. Yes!!! So far , the frontrunner sometimes back was Mathira Constituency MP Rigathi Gachagua. It is imperative to note that Kindiki comes from Mt Kenya East. The question is , will East resonate with that choice?

There has been a Supremacy battle between politicians from Mt Kenya East and West. West believes that , they are the majority and that , it is the tributaries that join the main river and not the vice versa. On the other hand , East have been accusing West for hypocrisy. They have since 1992 supporting presidential flag bearers from Mt Kenya west. Starting with the late Kenneth Matiba , Mwai Kibaki and the current president Uhuru Kenyatta.

William Ruto by now should be crafting a mechanism of how he will nip such developments in the bud before they escalate on the ground. If he just assume the business is usual , it will dawn to him much latter that the business is very unusual and he will lose terribly. So far , there are alot of undecided votes in Mt Kenya region as we speak. All they are waiting is to see , who will be chosen by William Ruto and Raila Odinga as their running mates. From the , new voting patterns will emerge. Yes!!! Totally new and GEMA nation voters are always very unpredictable. 

Ruto should in broad daylight tell the GEMA nation whom he has hinged all his hopes on what they will get in his administration. Giving them a running mate slot is just a drop of water in the vast Kalahari desert. Fact!!! If he think that alone will incite them to riot in the ballot to vote for him come August 9th , he is the only stranger in the streets of the city of Jerusalem. He must tell them , how many cabinet slots , Principal Secretaries , head of parastatals , Ambassadorial and consulate attaches etc is he giving the region. 

From where am seated , Ruto's journey to State House hasn't yet started if only he will not do the things I have sampled up there. If his opponent , Raila Odinga will quickly move in and give juicy deal to Mt Kenya region , that will be the end of Ruto's Presidential bid. Fact!!! The ball is is his court. Either to score in the opponents goal post or to score an own goal.

Rigathi Gachagua is one individual who , when he puts his tongue into motion , he leaves the hearts of many soiled , both who support Ruto and those who doesn't support him. NO NEED OF THREATS; KENYANS ARE JUST MAKING A COMMUNIQUE TO THEIR GOVERNMENT AND LEADERS.

T his afternoon , I have seen a video clip of Uasin Gishu County commissioner Dr Edison Nyale threatening chiefs and their assistant chiefs for not working hard in mobilizing residents in their respective locations and sub locations to attend the Jamhuri Day celebrations that took place yesterday at Kapsoya secondary school ground. From that video , the County Commissioner looks and sounds someone who is agitated, irritated and bitter. Wananchi waliususia mkutano wa Mtemi Bokono. Hivyo basi , Mtemi hakufurahishwa na Jambo Hilo hata kidogo. At the same time , the Governor of Uasin Gishu Hon Jonathan Bii aka Koti moja was present and from his end , he accused the ward co-ordinators for failing to mobilize residents to attend those celebration. WHY THE CHURCH HAS LOST IT ALL?

  T he church of late has found itself in the receiving end. It has auctioned the pulpit it should be protecting it , they have offered it to the political elites. Today , it is very difficult to know , which shepherd is genuinely leading the sheep to the light and the one leading them to the dark. Money laundering has now become rampant in churches. Those who have been in the front to propagate that vice is the clergy and a section of political elites. They organise for fictious projects and tag the cost too high. Since they know their congregants aren't in a position to raise it , their pastors/ vicars/ reverends/ Fathers organise for a church fundraise and invite leading politicians who inturn bring the monies in liquid form and not through cheque. If the real cost of the project is sh 2.5 Million , they will ensure that fundraise gets more than that amount.
