As the race to pick Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party presidential aspirant's Raila Odinga is gaining momentum , the seat has attracted political leaders both men and women you cannot wish away. Those who have expressed their interests are: Hon Martha Karua SC , Governors Joho and Oparanya , Hon Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka SC , Hon Sabina Chege , Stephen Tarus and Hon Peter Kenneth. Governor Charity Ngilu expressed her intentions but chickened out. The Noah Wekesa led panel which was contracted to front suitable candidates for that slot is expected to give its finding today to the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance governing council.

The two front runners for that seat are women and one man. That's is Hon Sabina Chege and Hon Martha Karua and Hon Peter Kenneth. Let's be honest. Kenneth is out of the picture in as far as the running mate position is concerned. Let's not lie to one another. The contest is now between either Sabina Chege and Martha Karua. Using a biased eye and that I hail from Mūrang'a County , I can settle for Hon Sabina Chege. If I employ meritocracy , unbiased eye and zero emotions and feelings , I can settle for Hon Martha Karua. She fully deserves for that seat. She perfectly fit to be Raila Odinga running mate. Her aura and acumen resonates well with Kenyans of all political divides. Fact!!! Even members of Kenya Kwanza Alliance behind the camera , they are rooting for Martha Karua to be picked as the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party presidential aspirant Raila Odinga running mate. 

Martha Karua SC was born 64 years ago in Kimunye village , Gichugu Constituency , Kirinyaga County. She schooled in a local primary school , proceeded to kiamugumo girls , Ngiriambu for O' level and then Karoti Girls for her A - Levels. After excelling well in her exams , she was admitted at University of Nairobi to study law. Thereafter , she joined Kenya School of Law for her ATP programme. She is was then admitted to the bar. She has ever served as a magistrate for 6 years in various stations across Kenya before quitting and setting up her own law firm.

Martha Karua is a social jurist , human and women rights advocate and defender. She has been doing that with alot of zeal , gusto and temerity. Her contribution in KENYA'S civil societies is epic and meticulous. In the Federation of Women Lawyers ( FIDA) , her foot prints in that organisation are  indelible. Martha joined elective politics back in 1992 on a Democratic Party ( DP) ticket after Ford Asili party shortchanged her during nominations. The party was preferring her rival Geoffrey Kariithi. The rivalry between Nahason Njuno ( KANU) and Kariithi ( Ford Asili) made MARTHA KARUA to win the Gichugu Parliamentary seat comfortably. 

Hon Martha Karua is the brains behind the formation of NARC back in 2002. The coalition party went ahead to sent KANU into political oblivion , an injury it has never recovered to date. Having served as minister for water resources management and development and Minister for Justice , National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs. Her firm stand and astute nature is what endears her character to many Kenyans. During the BBI court battle , she stood to her guns and argued her points before the Justice with a lot of professionalism and not emotions or political illwill / witch hunt.  In 2013 , she tried her stab for Kenya's top job , presidential seat. She did not make it but that alone , it was a score on her side. Hon Ngilu tried it back in 1997 abd came a distant 5th. 

In 2017 , she staged a spirited fight when she vied for Kirinyaga County Gubernatorial seat on a Narc Kenya party ticket , a political party she owns. She gave the incumbent Anne Waiguru a run for her money , time and energies. A second liberation hero back in 1991 , Hon Martha Karua represented his colleagues like Koigi Wamwere and the late Nakuru Town MP Mírugi Kariuki who were put on death sentence by the despotic KANU regime. Her contribution during the clamour for multipartyism puts her ahead as a political , social and economic jurist. A reformist per excellent. From my end. She is in a pole position to be Raila Odinga running mate. All the best to her.

NO NEED OF THREATS; KENYANS ARE JUST MAKING A COMMUNIQUE TO THEIR GOVERNMENT AND LEADERS.

T his afternoon , I have seen a video clip of Uasin Gishu County commissioner Dr Edison Nyale threatening chiefs and their assistant chiefs for not working hard in mobilizing residents in their respective locations and sub locations to attend the Jamhuri Day celebrations that took place yesterday at Kapsoya secondary school ground. From that video , the County Commissioner looks and sounds someone who is agitated, irritated and bitter. Wananchi waliususia mkutano wa Mtemi Bokono. Hivyo basi , Mtemi hakufurahishwa na Jambo Hilo hata kidogo. At the same time , the Governor of Uasin Gishu Hon Jonathan Bii aka Koti moja was present and from his end , he accused the ward co-ordinators for failing to mobilize residents to attend those celebration. WHY THE CHURCH HAS LOST IT ALL?

  T he church of late has found itself in the receiving end. It has auctioned the pulpit it should be protecting it , they have offered it to the political elites. Today , it is very difficult to know , which shepherd is genuinely leading the sheep to the light and the one leading them to the dark. Money laundering has now become rampant in churches. Those who have been in the front to propagate that vice is the clergy and a section of political elites. They organise for fictious projects and tag the cost too high. Since they know their congregants aren't in a position to raise it , their pastors/ vicars/ reverends/ Fathers organise for a church fundraise and invite leading politicians who inturn bring the monies in liquid form and not through cheque. If the real cost of the project is sh 2.5 Million , they will ensure that fundraise gets more than that amount.
