PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA; THE POLITICAL CHESS MASTER.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is the less studied political animal. Political pundits , both locally , regionally and internationally opine that , he is one person who highly camouflages and it is difficult to tell where he is coming from , where he is currently and where he is heading. Kenyatta is a product of President Moi school of Realpolitik. In 1997 , he tried his elective stab by vying for Gatundu South parliamentary seat on a KANU. Green in politics , he was trounced by a fellow political novice Moses Mwihia. It is then that he took a back seat and retreated to personal businesses. It is President Moi who picked him and in earnest , started grooming him politically for future assignments. He was oppointed as chairman of Kenya Tourism Board ( KTB) . In This position , he was able to tour many Countries and his international exposure was given a huge boost.

President Moi was very calculative , he then in quick succession nominated him as an MP after forcing Mark Too , the cheeky , hilarious  , round faced and political rouble rouser and wheeler dealer. At that very moment , he was appointed as the minister for local government. The young UHURU KENYATTA at that time was eager to run. When his mentor president Moi was a ruthless realist and a good student of Machiavelli , President Uhuru Kenyatta didn't inherit the autocratic and despotic character traits. He is a realist but blends it with liberalism. To some some extent , he expresses some characters of idealism.

The UHURU KENYATTA we have now is a guru in the political arena. A tricky political chess master. He knows when to act , when to feign naivety and cluelessness and when to pounce. He knows how to constrict his opponents and multiply them by zero. How he was able to contain his political arch rival Raila Odinga still remains a mystery. His Deputy has been running bersk and amok because of the March 13 , Handshake that reorganized Kenya's Political terrain. As a good student of Machiavelli , he knew that , there are ways of dealing with your political adversaries ; you either embrace them and work with them peaceful or annihilate them in totality. President Uhuru Kenyatta chose the former something that irked his Deputy who from near , exhibits character traits of the likes of Josef Stalin , Ferdinand Marcos , Ho Chi Minh , Samuel Doe , Jean Bedel Bokasa etc.

As the captain of the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party , he will captain that outfit to victory come 9th August. He knows how he will do it. His opponent in Kenya Kwanza knows it. He knows once Uhuru will hit the ground running , he will give his opponent a hectic time. He will drain him both financially , emotionally , physically and psychologically. UHURU knows his opponents is irked by slight provocations. He lacks emotional intelligence that is very important in Realpolitik. Uhuru knows , when your opponent is of choleric feelings , irritate them more because , they will make tactical blunders that you will capitalize on and annihilate them in totality or seize his troops whole and intact. 

Timing in politics is everything. President Uhuru Kenyatta knows that. He doesn't want to burn his calories and return home empty handed. He will soon reconfigure the mind of the GEMA nation voting block and especially the organic voters. People who he will communicate to their hearts and minds. The people he will easily unravel to them the danger ahead. The voting block he will easily convince. All he wants is to hive a portion of the 8.5 million votes. He knows there will be high voter APATHY in his political bastion. The question is , will the apathy have adverse effect on Azimio's presidential candidate Raila Odinga? No. Infact , it will favour him alot. The more voters will give the polling stations a wide berth in Mt Kenya region , the more Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate will be losing big. He needs more votes than the dual got both in 2013 and 2017 general elections. 

In conclusion , president Uhuru Kenyatta is a political animal no politician who knows what is doing can afford to ignore. When strong , he appears weak , extremely weak and when he is weak , he appears very strong. This mix signals makes his political adversaries to develop stress and psychological disorders. No wonder , when he slightly provoked his DP , Ruto's always fires back. That's always a trap and exposure of serious weaknesses.
