RUTO AND ETHNICITY ARE SYNONYMOUS. YES!!!!!

 Fellow Kenyans , when you hear DP Ruto condemning tribalism/ ethnicity , just run , run and don't look back. While running , insert your fingers in your ears so that you done get to here the hypocrisy being spewed by him. That's the only way to save your mind and heart from being poisoned. Ruto and tribalism are synonymous. They are indelible and can't be delinked. Out there in Political rallies , he will rebuke the vice that had nearly made Kenya take a genocidal route. He is quick to say how Azimio la Umoja is propagating ethnic politics and to some extent , even branded political parties from Mt Kenya region as tribal outfits. How is Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party promoting ethnic politics? Infact , it is promoting the politics of oneness and walking the talk. Is is Azimio ( Unity) of UMOJA ( Oneness) . This is where political parties drawn from different ethnic nations come together to share similar ideologies , purpose and aspirations. It is a rainbow coalition party. That coming together of different ethnic nations is making Ruto and his surrogates develop a cold feet.

Allow me to ventilate deeper on this issue of ethnicity and how Ruto plays reverse psychology when rebuking it but he is the main proponent of propagating that poisonous vice. From my end , I don't hate Ruto because because he is a kalenjin. Infact , I don't hate him as a person but the only thing I do is only differing with him Politically. I don't have any problem with thr larger Kalenjin Nation because I have alot of friends drawn from that ethnic group. In Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Alliance coalition party , we have serious and respectful members who come from that community. They are of strategic importance the likes of Hon Stephen Tarus , Joshua Kutuny , Kipruto Kirwa , Sally Kosgei , Tolgos to mention but a few.

My bone of contention with Ruto is the recent remarks towards Kesses Constituency MP Hon Swarup Mishra. He is of Indian decent and have lived in Uasin Gishu County for many years. As a Medical Doctor by profession , Mishra operates Mediheal group of hospitals. Infact , majority of the locals in Uasin Gishu and the neighboring counties have been seeking medical attention in Mishra's hospitals which charge relatively less charges that resonates fully with the locals pockets. It is in this backdrop that Kesses residents decided to convince Dr Mishra to vie for Parliamentary seat on a Jubilee Party ticket and they will graciously rally behind him. That's exactly what he did and the locals kept their promise. They voted for him both in the party Nominations and in the general elections.

Hon Swarup Mishra is an independent minded leader. Him and the likes of Hon Silas Tiren ( Moiben) and Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter are leaders who decided to follow their hearts and minds at the expense of reciting sycophantic slogans to an individual inorder to remain politically relevant. Ruto incited Kesses residents not to elect Hon Mishra again. He branded his as a Punjabi and a non local. To him , only a local who will unleash mediocre , inept and empty leadership as an MP at the expense of a leader who has served his people with passion , love and diligence.

DP Ruto hasn't told the residents of Kesses to vote out Mishra because of incompetence. Zero!! He isn't telling them to vote out Mishra because he had squandered their NG CDF kitty? No!!! His only problem is because , his independence of mind doesn't allow him to sing sycophantic songs in praise of Ruto and his UDA thing.  Even after denying him the UDA party ticket , Mishra is in the ballot as an independent candidate. It is high time for the residents of Kesses to remember this , Ruto is vying for PRESIDENTIAL seat and not Kesses Parliamentary seat. So , it is upon them to consult their hearts with alot is wisdom. Has Mishra performed or not? Has he been coming to the rescue of their problems both social and economic? Why then should they allow someone's ethnicity and tribal mentality influence them to make a bad decision? 

It is imperative to note that , someone said he he as alot of problems with Kikuyus more than any other ethnic tribe. And this problem is big but one must be clever. You must set aside this tribal problems and mentality aside , us that community you have a problem with to clinch power then use that power to FIX that community with ZERO chills. That's what he said and when Ruto is accusing other Leaders of propagating ethnic politics , I wonder why he omits himself as the main culprit. Mishra's political tribulations in Uasin Gishu County is because he is a non-locals. In a cosmopolitan County like that , political undertones based on ethnicity still occupies hectares of land. This is sad bearing in mind , it is a County back in 2007/08 which was the hotspot of PEV 

I want to beseech the residents of Kesses Constituency whenever you are. Don't be misled. Don't allow the yoke of ethnicity make you lose the gem in Mishra. Infact , many residents of other Constituencies in Uasin Gishu County and neighbouring Counties desire to have a Member of Parliament like Hon Mishra. Let me us you people of Kesses Constituency, in that NG CDF office , did Mishra brought people from his community to work for him? No , he brought people from within Kesses to work in that office. That is because he believes and trust you people. You even gave him the local name Kiprop. 

If you trust him with your bodies and health since , upto date , locals still stream in his Mediheal hospital to seek for medical attention ,why is it now someone is telling you to see Mishra using tribal eyes? Is that the kind of a leader you can trust to lead this Country as the president? First , don't see that person as one of your kinsman. See him as a leader and gauge him with what he believes in , what he does and what he says. From my end , he should be the last person to lead this Country. As I have retariated , you have the liberty to vote for Ruto or Raila or Nyambane as your PRESIDENTIAL choice but vote Hon Mishra as your MP for Kesses without employing ethnic eyes. It is so DECLASSIFIED.
