RUTO'S PLEA FOR FORGIVENESS FROM PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA IS SINISTER AND HYPOCRITICAL.

 Today , the National prayer breakfast was organized and it was led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy President William Ruto. A host of other Leaders and dignitaries were present. The rest of kenyans were following the proceedings through the national Television stations in thr comfort of their houses , workplaces and even streaming live from their smartphones. Netizens like doing it very much. Thanks for the technological advancements. In that prayer breakfast , Political elites from both sides of the political divide were present. Both Azimio la Umoja and Kenya Kwanza Alliance honchos were present. Right Hon Raila Odinga wasn't present but Hon Martha Karua SC was present. No politics was played in the podium but it was highly played through the body language and especially between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his DP William Ruto. Fact!!

The gist of that prayer meeting is for politicians and the rest of kenyans to embrace peace during this electioneering period. That it is only politicians who can cool the political tensions building as we head towards August 9th and it is only them to can inflate those tensions and political violence can be witnessed. A Country that went through a very ugly political violence both in 2007/08 and partly in 2017 general elections should not be witnessed again. Kenya is bigger than individuals and political contest should not be that of ethnic supremacy or class wars or even that of religion. It should be reduced to a contest of ideas and manifestos.  The prayer breakfast is very timely because it has taken place when we are just 1 day shy to thr official date when IEBC to fly a green flag for nationwide political campaigns to kickstart.

From this social media streets , I have seen a section of netizens lauding DP Ruto for breaking the protocol and invited Raila Odinga's running mate Martha Karua to address the gathering. There are those who are saying that it is something normal because if Raila Odinga was present , he would have addressed the gathering. So , in his absentia , Martha Karua was right to speak in his place. So , I join other Kenyans to rule out the element of humbleness from DP Ruto in inviting Martha to address the gathering.

Kenya isn't a theocratic State that religion and religious beliefs forms the Hallmark of our day to day interactions from the citizenry to the government and State levels. There is an element in DP Ruto that irks me. He behaves that he is the only religious and more christian leader in Kenya than the rest. I have never seen Raila Odinga or Kalonzo Musyoka or Mudavadi or Wetangula or even President Uhuru Kenyatta deifying themselves to thr masses inorder to endear themselves. That doesn't mean they don't believe in God. That doesn't mean they are anti-christian. Kenya  hosts a litany of religious outfits , from Catholics to atheists who even have an organisation to advance their agenda and religious beliefs. The law in Kenya don't vindicate them. That's because , the bill of rights enshrined in our constitution protects them.

DP Ruto took to the podium asking for forgiveness from his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta. The question we should be asking us is , can you ask for forgiveness from someone if you haven't wronged him or her? That means Ruto is well aware of the gravious crimes and wrongs he committed to his boss such that president Uhuru Kenyatta has never take time and space in his heart to forgive him. He knows why president Uhuru Kenyatta turned down the offer from the clergy to reconcile him and his boss. He knows very well. So , today, the plea for forgiveness wasn't genuine from the word go. Ruto was only playing to the gallery to masquerade how humble he is towards his boss. He has taken almost 9 years scripting insults towards him especially in his own political backyard. The most henious crime is when , him and Moses Kuria and their coteries attacked the first family in Mutomo , Gatundu South Constituency. The home Constituency of president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Am ain't in President Uhuru Kenyatta heart or mind but from where am seated , am pretty sure that plea for forgiveness from Ruto didn't not even occupy a millimeter in both his heart and mind. Because , from his end , he knows it is cosmetic and marinated with alot of hypocrisy and deceit. It is not made in good faith. Ruto only want to hoodwink Kenyans that he is a humble leader. That trick is now old and archaic. A majority of kenyans have started looking him with suspicious eyes. They too well understand he hides in religion to confuse them . Quoting and narrating wrong bible verses like Luke 22:9 inorder to portray him how more christian he is than the rest of us. 

The crimes Ruto committed to his boss after giving him more trust especially in their first term in office cannot be mended and if it will happen , not now. Today , they were seated separately. Infact , avoiding each other eye contacts. That shows you how deep their differences are. Ruto should understand too well that , he who comes to equity comes with clean hands. Ruto wants to come with dirty hands and clenched fists like Machiavelli. What he is forgetting is that , he is not new to president Kenyatta. He knows him very well and even , he knows what he is planning.  That's the most painful thing.

The irony is , very soon , Ruto will script a litany of insults and chided messages towards President Uhuru Kenyatta and his family. That's how hypocrisy and deceit occupies hectares of land in his space bigger than the 2500 acres he claims former Taita Taveta MP Basil Criticos "awarded" him. That's why I can authoritatively say without iota of doubt and shame that , the plea for forgiveness by Ruto is Sinister. Period!!!!
